Bernie’s Fountain: From Tacky to Terrific

Oh, how life's unexpected turns can lead us to moments of pure delight! Our tale today springs from the waters of a once-questioned fountain, now a source of daily amusement, thanks to Bernie.

Years ago, as we stood on the threshold of our newly built home, a looming installation awaited us. The fountain, destined for our front door, struck me as utterly tacky. The very thought of it greeting every visitor made me cringe. My husband, however, saw it through a different lens, admiring its grandeur. Thus, it spent years relegated to the carport, a monument to our decor disagreement.

Fast forward to the pandemic, and the construction of my husband's office retreat in the woods provided the perfect excuse to relocate the fountain. With a dash of reluctance, I conceded.
